Flower Waters These are the terms used to describe the fragrant water left behind after extracting essential oils mostly by steam distillation. The flowers or plants being distilled contain healing properties apart from their oils. The hydrosols contain the water soluble plant components plus minute amounts of essential oils. This process produces 100% pure, natural and true hydrosols with healing properties suitable to use on their own or included in products. The terms hydrosol and hydrolate are now being used more instead of flower waters. This is because they are unique products and cannot be made synthetically. Some flower waters are being made unethically by just adding oils to water or using synthetic compounds with no healing abilities. Look for hydrosols or flower waters obtained from genuine organic or certified organic plants. This is your guarantee of quality and purity. Sr Wend's hydrosols are made from authentic organic plants. Rich botanical properties and extremely gentle.
